(Strategic) noise mapping Strategic noise maps according to 49/2002/ EC directive. 3D, facade and grid cross section maps. Since 1992 Vibrocomp is using noise maps for everyday consultancy work. The large experience made us one of the pioneers in harmonisation of the 2002/49/EC, the so called European Noise directive in Hungary. A "strategic noise map" shall mean a map designed for the global assessment of noise exposure in a given area. Strategic noise maps are to be worked out separately for the different noise sources or for overall predictions for such an area. ![]() Strategic noise mapping will be used for the provision of the data to be sent to the Commission as well as a source of information for citizens and furthermore it will be used as a basis for action plans in accordance. Each of those applications requires a different type of strategic noise map. For this reason a strategic noise map is the presentation of data on different aspects: - an existing, a previous or a predicted noise situation in terms of a noise indicator, - the exceeding of a limit value, - the estimated number of dwellings, schools and hospitals in a certain area that are exposed to specific values of a noise indicator, the estimated number of people located in an area exposed to noise. - Ref: Guidelines on Strategic Noise Mapping and Action Planning according to Directive 2002/49/EC in HUNGARY ![]() The experts of Vibrocomp have been participating in several EU founded Phare and Life projects in Europe. - Strategic Noise Mapping in Hungary Letter of contract N° Mr. Rónaszéki 15 – Phare-HU-PAO HURonaszeki15_2040019 - Romania - Strengthening institutional capacities for implementing and enforcing noise related Directives Project no. : 2004/016-772.03.03/02.02 Totally we noise mapped about 1800 sqkm of agglomerations in Europe 500 km of Main roads 46 km of Main railways 9 Airports and 16 Industrial plants International references 2007 - 2009 International references - 2006 References in Hungarian |
